My Life Riding One-Handed

My Life Riding One-Handed
The short answer is because I only have one hand, so I kind of have to.
Most of my life I didn't think about the possibility of riding a motorcycle because I thought it was impossible for me. But that turned out to be a self-imposed barrier. During the pandemic I decided to confront some of these barriers and get into riding. I wasn't serious about my pursuit until someone told me, "Honey, motorcycles aren't for you." That's when I leaned into it to prove them wrong and find out for myself if I could ride. Fast forward to now and I've been riding for years and loving it. I also found a community of similar people who lift each other up as we all go through this atypical approach to riding.
In short: Don't let someone tell you that you can't do something, including yourself. You might be surprised by how much you can do if you have the drive to accomplish what you previously thought was impossible.

I'm MostDefJeff, and I a new motorcycle rider. I started riding in 2021 when I decided the only roadblock I had to riding a motorcycle was the one I set for myself. My story isn't unique, except for the fact that I was born without a left hand, so I had to pave my own path to learning to ride a motorcycle. I took the MSF course on an electric bike and a month later bought Rosa the Rebel. I've been filming my progress and connecting with others who are like me, and those who wish to see someone like me out there. Tune in and follow me on my motorcycling journey!

Rosa the Rebel is my 2021 Honda Rebel 1100 DCT. I bought her new as a new rider and have grown into the features as I've gotten more skilled. I am still a fairly new rider and have a lot to learn about riding and the motorcycling community but Rosa has been with me every step of the way. Through the years, I've been adding accessories and mods to mold her to my body and riding style.
I've alluded to how I got into riding in previous videos, but I never talked about it in depth. This video is the first of two that dive into how I started riding and why. The first video discusses my history with riding and how I had to approach it differently from others. The second video will be about how I currently ride differently from others.
Are you in the market for a motorcycle? If you're looking, or just curious about the Honda Rebel 1100 DCT, watch this video to find out some of the reasons I got one as my first bike. This is by no means an exhaustive list, just the top features that attracted me to this bike.
I wanted to address the questions: Why don't I use my prosthetic or feature content about riding without a left hand? After all, it's why I started this channel in the first place. I'm lucky in that I can ride without one and also own a bike that doesn't require modification.
